Angela’s Guesthouse is within walking distance of the river and all amenities in the village of Marico. Here we offer a home away from home hospitality for the passing traveller, business person or anyone wanting to escape from the city.
Our aim is, to make you feel welcome and ensure your visit is enjoyable, where we hope to instil a little Marico magic into your life.
About Groot Marico
Groot Marico is a comfortable 2.5 hour drive from JHB, PTA, on the N4 Platinum highway which is the gateway to Botswana & Namibia.
The Groot Marico river is an important source of water, it is one of the few clean rivers left in South Africa
The Marico river flows through the farms going North, eventually joining the Crocodile river, which becomes the Limpopo River. Groot Marico is part of a protected Biosphere Reserve which was officially declared by UNESCO in July 2018.
